MOT test centres · the 8am rush, reminders, retestsSoftware for MOT test centres
The phone rings before the bay doors are even up. RevIXO looks up the vehicle and its MOT history from the registration, books the class 4 or class 7 test onto your diary, and reminds customers ahead of their due date. An add-on AI voice receptionist can handle that early call too, in final live-call testing now.
One booking. Logged where the whole team can see it.
What does an MOT test centre need from its software?
Test centres run on volume and a strict schedule — the software has to keep up with both, without adding its own admin.
What test centres ask before switching
No. Where DVSA rules mean a retest fee applies, it replaces the original test charge on the same job rather than adding to it.
No. The price it quotes is bounded by the same class-aware statutory cap the booking screen enforces for staff.
No. Reminders are drawn from official DVLA vehicle data, so a car MOT’d elsewhere stops being chased once its record is up to date.
No. The AI holds every request against your diary; a person at the garage always confirms it.

The essentials before you book a demo.
Does RevIXO support both class 4 and class 7 tests?
Yes. MOT services are configured by test class, each with pricing capped to the statutory maximum for that class.
How are due-date reminders sent?
By text or email, drawn from official DVLA vehicle data and sent automatically ahead of the due date — nobody has to keep a separate reminder list.
What happens on a failed test?
The booking stays open for the retest rather than closing and reopening as a new job. The fail and the eventual pass sit on the same job with the full paper trail, and the invoice raises once it passes.
Do customers get a record of the test?
Yes. Each pass or fail is recorded against the vehicle, with a PDF service record the customer can keep.
Can the AI receptionist handle the morning rush?
The AI voice receptionist is a separate £99 per-garage monthly add-on for Professional, Growth and Enterprise, with 300 included minutes. It's in final live-call testing now; founding pilot garages switch it on first. Once live, it handles the calls the front desk can't get to yet, quotes within the garage's own rules and pricing, and holds the booking for staff to confirm.
See a test booked from a phone call to your diary.
No slides. We look at your test classes, your diary and your setup, then show how a call becomes a booked, priced, reminder-tracked MOT.
It runs in a browser, so there’s no new kit to install. Founding garages run free during the pilot; standard plans start at £89 per month after launch, including VAT where applicable. Onboarding is operator-assisted, and we won’t promise a setup timeframe until we know your setup.
